Just when you thought you just installed Laravel successfully and you get this error. No supported encrypter found. The cipher and / or key length are invalid.
Don’t panic, this happens when you install Laravel in your console and it did not produced the 32 characters key in your .env file in the root directory.
To simply fix this problem, we need to instruct Laravel to generate the random key. In the console type the following code and hit enter.
php artisan key:generate
After you invoke the code, you can check again your .env file and APP_KEY is not empty now.
Congrats your app will run now, and the error is fixed.
